Fire Risk Assessments You Can Rely On

Protecting People, Property, and Your Legal Responsibilities

Digital Reporting & Compliance Documentation

Vesta Sol utilises advanced digital inspection and reporting systems to ensure all passive fire protection and fire door works are recorded accurately, transparently and in full compliance with current fire safety regulations. Our approach provides clients with clear, auditable records of fire safety installations and remediation works, supporting building compliance and future inspections.

We use industry-recognised digital platforms including RiskBase and Bolster Systems to manage surveys, installation records and compliance documentation.

Digital Survey Process

Prior to undertaking any remedial works, our team conducts a comprehensive fire compartmentation and fire door survey using digital reporting tools.

The survey process includes:

Site Inspection

Qualified surveyors inspect key areas including:

  • Service penetrations through fire-rated walls and floors

  • Existing fire stopping installations

  • Fire compartmentation integrity

  • Fire doors, frames and associated hardware

  • Cable trays, pipework and duct penetrations

Each defect or non-compliant element is recorded digitally in real time.

Digital Data Capture

During the inspection process we record:

  • High-resolution photographic evidence

  • Exact location of each defect

  • Fire stopping type required

  • Penetration dimensions and service type

  • Door condition and compliance status

  • Risk categorisation and priority level

All information is logged directly into the reporting system via mobile devices.

Location Referencing

Each item is assigned a precise location reference including:

  • Building

  • Floor level

  • Corridor or room number

  • Asset reference

This ensures that defects can be easily identified and rectified during remedial works.

Survey Reporting

Following completion of the survey, a detailed digital report is provided to the client.

The report includes:

  • Summary of fire safety risks identified

  • Photographic evidence of defects

  • Location mapping of each issue

  • Recommended remedial actions

  • Estimated costs for compliance works

This allows building owners and estates teams to prioritise remediation works and demonstrate due diligence under fire safety legislation.

Recording Installation Works

Once works commence, all installations are recorded digitally to ensure full traceability.

For every installation we record:

  • Before and after photographs

  • Installation location

  • Fire stopping system used

  • Manufacturer details and certification

  • Installer identification

  • Date and time of installation

This provides a complete digital audit trail for each fire protection measure installed.

Passive Fire Protection Installation Records

For fire stopping installations the digital report will include:

  • Type of service penetration

  • Substrate and wall/floor construction

  • Fire stopping system installed

  • Fire rating achieved (e.g. 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 minutes)

  • Installation method

  • Supporting product certification

This ensures installations are fully traceable and compliant with manufacturer specifications.

Fire Door Inspection & Reporting

Fire door surveys are conducted using structured digital inspection checklists.

Each door is assessed for:

  • Door leaf condition

  • Frame integrity

  • Intumescent strips and smoke seals

  • Hinges and fixings

  • Self-closing devices

  • Gaps and clearances

  • Fire rating compliance

Every door is assigned a unique asset reference number, allowing ongoing tracking and future inspections.

  • Commercial properties (offices, shops, warehouses, hospitality)

  • HMOs, rental properties & residential blocks

  • Schools, healthcare facilities, and public buildings

  • Industrial sites & specialist environments

Completion Reports

  • Upon completion of works, clients receive a comprehensive digital completion pack.

  • This typically includes:

  • Summary of works completed

  • Installation photographs

  • Product certification documentation

  • Location references for each installation

  • Installer verification

  • Compliance confirmation

  • These records support building owners in demonstrating compliance with fire safety requirements.
