Royal Albert Memorial Museum

We’ve recently completed a programme of firestopping works at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum — a project that required the right balance of technical precision and respect for a historic environment.

Working within a live, heritage setting brings unique challenges.

Our focus throughout was on maintaining the integrity of the building while ensuring all penetrations and compartments were brought up to current fire safety standards. Every detail matters in spaces like this, and our team approached the work with care, diligence, and a strong commitment to best practice.

Safety remained at the forefront from start to finish — not just in terms of fire protection, but also in how we carried out the works. Clear communication, controlled working areas, and strict adherence to site protocols ensured minimal disruption to staff, visitors, and the fabric of the building.

It’s always rewarding to contribute to the protection of important public spaces, helping to preserve them for future generations while making them safer today.
